Ballots Are Due

OCTOBER 14th

This election will be an election by mail.  Each active registered voter residing within the District will receive a ballot by mail at his/her address as it appears on the voter registration register; and therefore no polling places will be open for voting. Ballots will be mailed by the Phelps County Clerk’s Office, and the Harlan County Clerk’s Office between September 22, 2025 and October 3, 2025.

September 26, 2025: is the last day for mail-in registrations, registrar registrations, delivered registrations, agency registrations and online registrations (3rd Friday prior to the election).

October 3, 2025: is the last day for in-person voter registration in the office of the Phelps County Clerk or Harlan County Clerk. (6:00p.m.)

Voters may complete an “Application for Early Voting Ballot” available from the office of the Phelps County Clerk or Harlan County Clerk. The last day to request an Early Voting ballot to be mailed: Friday, October 3, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. Early voting requests made after ballots have been mailed require an affidavit to be completed with their request. Contact the Phelps County Clerk or Harlan County Clerk with questions.

  • To Vote, darken the oval on your ballot completely using a black ink pen
  • Place completed ballot into the provided return envelope.
  • Write your NE Driver’s license or state ID in the space provided on the envelope, or enclose a photocopy of an acceptable photo ID
  • Complete, SIGN and seal the envelope
  • Moisten both seals to cover the voter ID and signature boxes
  • Place a first class stamp to return the ballot.
  • Return completed ballot/envelope by: Hand Delivery, Mail, or Drop Box noted on your individual ballots

To ensure your ballot arrives on time, we encourage you to return it in person or via an official drop box, as mailed ballots must be received (not just postmarked) by October 14th. Don’t wait—make your vote count!

Voted ballots that are sealed in the “Return Identification Envelope” may be returned in person, by deposit in the ballot drop box or mailed to the Phelps County Clerk or Harlan County Clerk offices.
